Chef Tangaroa has a passion

To tatou korero - Our story

Chef/Owner Tangaroa was born and raised in the Bay of Islands and loves sharing his region and culture through food.

Joining him in the cafe are his wife Rewa and sister Moana, known for being the best barista in the Bay! Of course you will often find their 3 children helping out on weekends!

In partnership with his Iwi (tribe) he has created a unique eatery showcasing the best of Māori and European cuisine. Each dish is carefully considered and crafted with only fresh, organic ingredients.

As an eco-friendly business, all packaging is biodegrabable, sustainable resources are used they are proudly para kore - zero waste.
